What is Evanvold?

Evanvold was founded sometime around 1997 by my brother and I. We wanted a name to publish our comics under and we decided that using our own last name (which we had done up until that point) sounded a little common. After all, multiple companies already used our last name (including a drum head manufacturer)! Our great grandfather was an artist and carpenter who emigrated from Norway. His last name was Evenvold, but he changed it when he arrived in the United States. So, having an interest in our Norse ancestry and liking the sound of it, we changed an “e” to an “a” and the rest is history. This photo is the banner we made for the Baltimore Comicon in 2017. Things are really beginning to ramp up and we hope you can enjoy the ride with us. -Dan
